Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CharlyTTS (“the Application”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.

Description of the Application

CharlyTTS is a Windows desktop application for livestream creators. It runs locally on the user’s own computer, connects to supported streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Kick) using credentials the user provides or authorizes, reads live chat messages, and provides text-to-speech, moderation, overlay, and interactive features.

Eligibility and Account Responsibility

The user must comply with the Terms of Service of each third-party platform they connect (YouTube/Google, Twitch, Kick, Discord, and any AI provider used for moderation).
The user is solely responsible for the credentials, tokens, and API keys they configure inside the Application, and for any activity performed through their own connected accounts.
The Application does not create or manage accounts on third-party platforms on the user’s behalf; it only connects to accounts the user already owns and explicitly authorizes.

Acceptable Use

The user agrees not to:

Use the Application to violate the terms of service of YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Discord, or any other connected platform.
Attempt to extract, reverse engineer, or misuse the OAuth client secrets, proxy infrastructure, or authentication flow used by the Application.
Use the Application for harassment, spam, or any unlawful purpose.

Third-Party Services

The Application communicates directly with third-party platforms (YouTube/Google, Twitch, Kick, Discord, and optionally an AI moderation provider selected by the user). Each of these services is governed by its own terms and policies, which the user is responsible for reviewing and accepting separately. The developer of CharlyTTS does not control and is not responsible for the availability, content, or policies of these third-party services.

No Warranty

The Application is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The developer does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of CharlyTTS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from the use of or inability to use the Application.

Changes to the Application and These Terms

The developer may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Application, and may update these Terms of Service, at any time. The latest version of these Terms will always be available from this repository.

Termination

The developer may discontinue support or availability of the Application at any time. The user may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it and disconnecting any authorized third-party accounts (see Privacy Policy for revocation instructions).

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of CHILE, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
